Dr. Zhong Li is a biologist by training and is well-versed in computing programming. He dived into the wonderful world of LEGO Robotics in 2013 when he volunteered to coach his son’s elementary school First LEGO League (FLL) team, the Hartshorn i-Robots. The kids did great, becoming the regional champion once and advanced to state competition twice in three years. One lesson he learned from the extremely rewarding and frequently chaotic experience was that most kids were not systematically trained in LEGO robotics when they started to participate in FLL competitions. As a result, it was difficult for them to develop confidence in programming within a few months. To help solve this problem, Dr. Li opened an Introduction to LEGO Robotics class at the newly founded Millburn Institute of Talent in 2016 with the goal of letting kids have fun while learning the basics of LEGO Robotics. The class was a success, and in the following years, he opened Intermediate LEGO Robotics and Advanced LEGO Robotics classes to provide additional guidance. Besides coaching/teaching LEGO Robotics, Dr. Li had coached youth soccer for many years, was once voted the Coach of the Year of the Livingston Soccer Club, and has served on the Board of Millburn Institute of Talent and the Board of Livingston Huaxia Chinese School. He received a B.S from Beijing University, a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Ms. Wang came to Boston to study as a graduate student when she came from the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. After she graduated from Boston, she worked on Wall Street in various managerial functions. Because of her math major in college, she has a particular interest in mathematics. At the invitation of Millburn Institute of Talent, she started teaching Math online during pandemics, which students and parents received well. Ms. Wang devoted herself to imparting mathematics knowledge to the children. While contributing to community services, she hopes to help the children lay a solid math foundation, broaden their horizons, and prepare themselves to face the ever-changing new era.

Java Programming Instructor Albert Wen has 10 years of programming experience split between Java, Python, C, and many other languages. Recently graduated with a computer science degree from Rutgers University, he currently develops for Barclays International, but enjoys spending his free time spreading his appreciation for the limitless power of computer programming to others.

Python Programing Instructor Richard Wen With seven years of programming experience in Java, Python, and C, Richard has also been tutoring and teaching math, physics, and coding for five years. Currently, he is pursuing a double major in math and computer science at Rutgers University. Richard often prefers to teach through the medium of game development to make the class more interesting and include a graphical and interactive element for visual learners. He also encourages experimentation and strongly believes the best way to master a topic like programming is through practice and personal experience and is always more than willing to help in the service of that exploration.

Justin liu is going into seventh grade this year. With five years of speedcubing experience, he maintains an average 25-second 3x3 cube solving record, and his fastest time is 16 seconds. He started teaching Rubik's cube two years ago and received great feedback from students who can all solve the whole cube independently after learning. He can also solve the 4x4, 5x5, and megaminx cubes.

Hendry Xu, is an incoming freshman at Millburn High School who has been enthusiastic about working with computers since elementary school. His passion for technology has never diminished, with interest starting as early as fiddling around with the source code of websites and changing the colors and shapes of various elements. As a result, he acquired diverse Python, Java, and C++ coding experiences at a young age. Aside from computer science, He also enjoys learning about Robotics, Physics, and Biology. In his spare time, he also follows Formula 1 motorsports for fun.
